Re: IV-P Flat Tires

Just a note, that I had a set of Tire Pressure Monitoring systems on my main gear, (sensor on the nose gear was way too close to the fork). It worked fine until I geeked out and chromed the hubcaps, after all who wouldn’t have hubcaps on a retractable? No more TPMS. Rock That's a bummer. I'm still ...

Re: IV-P Flat Tires

Tire pressure is usually the culprit for our main wheel tire tubes. Matt Speare recommended https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TSXXZJM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works great for me. My tubes slowly leak out psi, especially if the plane sits for more than a few weeks...

Re: Today's Flight for 2023

Fall colors near Pagosa Springs, CO. A great day to fly from Colorado Springs to Phoenix. Flew the family to watch the AF-Navy game. Painful to watch AF get stomped! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241007/7a66bb9ec2c800b1ea011c4cd35000ef.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241007/593472711256a...

Re: Jacking solution for ES

Drew, have you checked for the jack attachment? Most ES builders made a mount that is usually in the cargo area under the foldaway floor. I can take a pic and upload so you can see mine. I believe some owners have had aftermarket ones made. I think Bob Pastusek or Matt Speare would know.

Re: Lancair Aerospace Packing and Moving

Gary, unfortunately no good news. Last LOBO heard was they were moving parts. Since then it's been radio silence. Unverified if they ever moved the parts from Uvalde to another warehouse. For now, expect no parts support.

Re: Lancair ES - Steam Gauges to Dynon

It's been a few weeks, so I figured I would post an update. I've flown the plane around 25 hours and still working out the little stuff as well as chasing gremlins down. A few lessons learned: When removing the AFS 6600 screens so much, don't be in a rush when tightening down the D-pin connectors. I...

Re: WTB Left Wheel Pants for Lancair ES

Perry, that is a bummer! I'd give Brad Simmons a call first at Airframes, Inc. If he doesn't have a line on one, he may know who does. Also, let us know if he doesn't so we can keep an eye out.

Dan, that is very impressive you've flown that many hours! I'm happy if I hit 150/yr. Keep flying and making memories. I also love my ES. Made two trips from AZ-MT in 4.5 hrs non-stop...They are great XC machines.
