Re: Engine removal and other to do items
I am looking for recommendations for a better way to attach my wiring harness to the cradle. Adel clamps get tired and melt as do zip ties. I am also interested in a remote oil filter mount and location. I do have a good spot on the firewall between my heater can and the starter/avionics relays. Se...

Re: Sun 'n Fun
Marty and I had a nice time visiting with all the LOBO people who attended this dinner. Thanks for having it, Matt.
And, an even bigger thank you for the anonymous one who picked up the dinner bill.

Flight Metrics
I want to give a shout out to Flight Metrics. Matt Brannon and his team are fantastic. My Evolution was there for the Annual Condition Inspection in October right after the EPS/Advanced Aviation fly in. I am amazed at how thorough his mechanics are at finding the smallest issue. As an example there ...

Re: Lancair Training Update
It doesn’t appear your Evolution recurrent training numbers included the EPS Advanced Aviation fly in training this past October. There were many Evolution owners who completed training at this event..

Re: Door Seal Inflation Pump Assembly
…..In the past I have also repaired a pin hole leak in the door seal with silicone. Please don't do this! It worked for a little while but blew out after several flights at FL220. This is not a good thing when at high altitudes and in weather! Hope this helps. Call me with other questions, ... Geor...

Re: Ice, Ice, and More Ice ... Can We Take Positive Steps?
The prop heat is the basic Goodrich deice system that adds heat to the material on the leading edge of the propeller blades. The inlet heat is a thermal material that is laminated in the inlet and heats up when electric current is applied. The windscreen uses a spray bar with holes that directs TKS ...

Re: Ice, Ice, and More Ice ... Can We Take Positive Steps?
I have prop heat, inlet heat and windshield deice. I am hopeful this new system will work. It can use the existing ThermX heaters on the wings and horizontal stabilizer which I have already. Dave said all I will need is the new controllers.

Re: Ice, Ice, and More Ice ... Can We Take Positive Steps?
I had a discussion with Dave McRae at Sun N Fun regarding this system for the Evolution. He said the controllers are better and would work with the existing heaters on the wings and horizontal stabilizer. He assured me this was a better system. I signed up to install it when we are out in Redmond th...
