... When you can just open it up and take a peek. I thought I'd share for those who didn't realize they might be curious.

Quenton and Jose had it apart in a couple of hours, interesting to watch. Disconnect throttle/prop linkages, some cables and remove all 74 bolts holding the engine halves together. The engine core stays mounted to the airframe, while the power turbine, gearbox and prop come off as a single unit. Why? To replace seals on 2 oil lines, (to the right of Jose's hands in the second picture), one supply and one return/scavenge feeding the gas generator turbine rear bearing. I'm guessing the seals themselves are not more than a couple of bucks, as Quenton didn't even include them on the bill. Takes a little longer to put it back together but started right up and ran perfect with no re-rigging required.
Looks impressive to me, but those guys didn't even bat an eye at the process.

The guys at Turbine Power Tech are amazing !

Certainly the "go to" company I recommend for work on the Walter engines.
