The previous owner removed the Ram Air on my ES and I've found parts and re-installed. They were kind enough to leave the cable and mounting hardware. I fit the Y and test flew the plane. Greater than 1" of MP at 2,500', which I'm happy with. Now I need to cut down the 3" aluminum tube and angle cut it. My question is there any flow/test numbers out there for best angle to get the max MP increase? Every Lancair I've seen has a different solution, so I'm looking for recommendations. Thanks!
I ordered turbo pipe mounting couplers and clamps. It works well.
If I angle cut to get the pipe inlet perpendicular to the airflow, it seems like a large cut. Thoughts?

I had the standard Lancair supplied Ram Air kit, c2007. The angle on mine looks to be about what you sketched on your chromed inlet. On another pic (bad pic), I would have guessed it was on plane with the forward edge of the cowling... parallel to firewall???
Has worked well. ~+1" MP at 8-10,000'. Hope that helps some!
