Building a nearly all carbon wing for a IVPT

It all started with the idea of building the ultimate lightweight wings for a Lancair IVPT. We were going to build slow build wings but build it to the most factory standards and improvements. First was building the wing cradles with tables. After that we used cardboard and bondo to make the templates for the wing ribs.

Main spar box stiffener insert was installed.
Next was building the flaps but with pockets for the newer factory style flap actuation.-

Final trimming around the pockets and nutplates are installed.
After that the flaps are closed out in the wing cradles.-

Ailerons are next.
Placed in the wing cradle next to flap with actuation plate system installed Aileron trim tab detail. Trailing edge lineup with flap.-

We used the templates of the ribs we made to create ! inch thick MDF molds that we wrapped with four layers of carbon and cured in our oven.

Wing to flap gap fairing is laminated on.
All wing parts are made and placed ready for bonding including the aileron control rod tunnel-optimized for max fuel in the wing. Fuel tank sealant is applied for the wet wing.-

After wing closeout we started with body work using micro and the aileron pushrod fairing was installed.
Wing was then painted in primer ready for paint Wing and Friedel Tips in paint booth Flaps and ailerons are painted.- Attachments

This is AWESOME, and incredibly great timing. I am about to start on my wing construction with a new "slow build" wing set. This will be a great resource for me!!!
BTW, the work looks amazing, as always by you!!
