Hey folks,
I recently put a new Hartzell feathering prop (HC-H3YF-2UFX) onto my TSIO-550 IV. Does anyone know what the right model Hartzell or McCauley governor is for this feathering prop? The Hartzell application guide doesnt list one. McCauley doesnt list one for the Lancair and there are so many options listed for TCM engines on twin Cessnas, it will make your head spin.

Joe,
I recently removed the 4 blade MT prop from my Mooney Rocket and installed a new McCauley. The MT was a standard variable pitch and the McCauley is a full feathering (the engine prop combination for the Rocket Conversion was actually the C340 / C414 engine set up). I needed a different governor and after talking with a few people, including McCauley, I found Dan at West Coast Governors to be the most knowledgeable on governors and matching them to props. He was very reasonable and VERY QUICK. I highly recommend him for anything needed relating to propellor governors.
The shop's number is 559-687-1477. Don't be bashful letting him know I sent you. He was outstanding to me and gave me a 10% discount for my military service!!!
