AOA probe locations - I need to install two. Probably either in NACA inlets or under each wing. I'm leaning towards one under each wing. Specific location is important. Any recommendations?

My one combo probe is on the left wing just a couple of inches inboard of the seam or joggle of where the outboard wing tip cap slides on.

Sorry George, I meant OAT probe. Words matter and I failed this morning...

My G3X only needed one OAT probe. I put it under R wing tip. You could do the same on the L side.

Garmin requires shielded cable... that was fun!

Thanks Gordon, do you have a photo, by chance?

I'm about to run new shielded wires for the LED strobes. I'm ditching the Wheelan strobes. I'm lucky that the most of the Dynon hardware already come pre wired to plug into the ACM bus.

Hi Ryan.

Here is a link to my build log. Feel free to nose around.

And, I attached a pic of the OAT probe in the right wing tip. Tip is removed and laying upside down in this pic. Well... I tried. File too large! Go to the mykitlog link and look at 6/26/17 entry.

Build on and have fun!

Thanks Gordon. Do you find that location to be fine and out of the way enough to not catch on stuff?
