After modifying the LED strips to fit better for installation on the CB panel I connected it to the GAD27 for dimmer control. I’m using a single resistor pot to control both the CB panel dimmers and the lower Centre panel dimmers . I’m sharing the input from the pot to two input channels so I can get independent controllability for each panel via the configuration page on the G3x. Image

Flight Line AC ( Kelly Aerospace) controller installed and bench tested. The aircraft was originally built to use the Vertical Power Climate controller system. We decided to rather go with the VPX Pro system and circuit breakers and thus could not use the VP CCS anymore. I installed a bunch of relay’s - 5 of them to use the existing wiring that was meant for the VP to control the AC system. It used two switches FANS and AC ON in the overhead console. It is very basic and has only one cabin fan speed and no temperature pre- selected control either. By using the Controller and adding an additional two relays with a 3 speed blower resistor we will have speed control on the evaporator fans and pre selected cabin temperature control. Image

Mounted an additional 24v to 12v converter to supplement the 5 Amp unit in parallel. The current draw on the 12v bus was not enough and now will have about 15 Amp capacity. Next to it I mounted the resistor pack for the AC blower unit so we can have three speeds.

Started the installation on the 24th of March. First order was to remove all the 900x wiring not required anymore and labelling all the wiring to be retained and putting on the required connectors. This was the result of the first two days work.

Next two days was spent mounting the panel and making brackets to support the centre stack tray - moving the defrost inlet to a different location

Next couple of days was spent preparing the harnesses and mounting them back to the avionics shelf and tray and then integrating it with the old harness and tying up everything.
