After validating all wiring to senors were good to the panel instruments it came down to configuration / programming of the VRD-10. After several consults with the manufacturer we were getting close but still couldn’t turn on the EIU in configuration, even after attempting to disable the FSM ( per instructions). On a thought, I disabled all fuel related aspects in configuration, backed out and reloaded. The units finally disconnected! At that point then the EIU was turned on in configuration and it held after backing out as well.

We looked at the display and every category of engine information now has an indicator arrow and zeros, confirming communication between the sensors and the display!! There is an ITT Alert, caused by the firewall plug to ITT Sensor wire removed to replace the solid core wire with Garmin recommended STRANDED (ordered and en route).

Moving on to the very short list before our Airworthiness Inspection!! Yaa!!
