Fuel tanks and lines

Hello all. I recently purchased a 360 kit that was "mostly finished." The builder chose to not use the header tank for fear of a fire in cockpit. The wing fuel lines have been run but are using 1/4" lines and are fixed in the wing, however, the manual warns to use 3/8" lines if the header tank is not used. Has anyone had any experience with these options?

Gary,
You can add 3/8" lines after the fact.
Embed a threaded brass insert in the rib at the very bottom of the tank (lowest point with some deck angle) - about 2/3 the way back. Install a finger strainer in the brass insert and an AN fitting in the finger strainer.
