This note is for future development of the forum.

An important part of many forums is the ability to append attachments to posts. We have a size limit that is probably too small, and a restriction of the type of file accepted that is too restrictive. After I saved page 1 of the spreadsheet into a new file to show what the file could do, the system still would not accept the file even though it was within the size limit. So apparently it won't accpt excel files. When I saved it as a pdf, it still wouldn't accept it.
Finally, when I saved it as a jpg, the system accepted it, but only as part of the text of the post.

I strongly recommend eliminating these constraints as the forum is improved.

Dan, I’ll work on it. The whole idea behind phpBB is to keep the coding light so that it loads quickly. However, I agree, we need to figure out how to attach different media. More to follow…
