I've had people ask why on earth would I undertake such a massive rebuild of my IVPT?
Number one, I originally built it, over 10,000 hours of build time and 17 years of my life, and it won a Lindy at Oshkosh 2018.
Number two, my best friend and also my dad, helped me and they are both gone. I find it a tribute to them to get it flying again.
Number 3, watch the video and look at the ground speed and TAS in the panel shots.
I LOVE THIS AIRPLANE.
Why Take on Such A Massive Rebuild?

I agree Tom. It’s worth the time.
